December 2012 – December 2021
Today Phoebe was sent to the land of peace. She was a trooper, as always. Five days ago I took her to the vet because she was acting a bit “off.” She got worse so we went back two days later. They found that she had metastasized lung cancer. Not a little, it covered both lungs.
Just like all her previous illnesses and injuries, nothing kept her down. No one would have known she had cancer until we found it.
She declined quickly and after two more days she was put to rest.
I love that dog. I learned so much from her, much of it shared in this blog.
So this is the last entry for phoebestails.

I m so sorry about your baby, I wasn’t a dog lover until I rescue a few, I was more like a cat person and after I quit rescuing cats due to a loss, my best friend my only companion lost his fight to fip, anyways I decided no more pets, and a case of a couple of dogs needed a home was going to be euthanized I couldn’t let it happen so I took them, it was love as the one I had on my bay cat George, the love we are capable of feel for a pet more like a member of our own family and the loss is tragical and I feel your pain, I m still in the battlefield with my chihuahua Homie, and I m so so sorry hun god will give you the strength to heal or ease the pain, because we love them so much that it never heals, god bless your heart!
